ANNUAL MEETING IN OCTOBER
Lord willing, the LaVernia Primitive Baptist Church will hold its annual meeting beginning on Saturday morning before the first Sunday in October 2002. Singing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with preaching to follow at 10:30 a.m. We will also have services Saturday afternoon and night and conclude with services Sunday morning.
We have invited Elders Mike Montgomery and Mark Rowell to be our speakers for the meeting. We dearly love these dear brothers and their families and look forward to the Lord blessing us through their preaching once again. We know we all need the Lord's blessing for this to be a meeting that is glorifying to God and edifying to His people. Please pray that God will bless each of us with the grace to do just that.
We invite all who have a desire to come and worship with us at this meeting, or any time you can come to be with us. We have been blessed of God for many years and are receiving great blessings now. We have also started meeting on the second Sunday of each month with Elder Mike Rodgers of San Antonio, TX filling that appointment.
This fall it will be twenty-two years that I have tried to serve the church on both first and third Sundays. Our little band of worshipers have been faithful to serve the Lord as best we can. We are thankful for each one who comes, and ask God to continue to add to our Church. We know we are to add to our faith, but it is God who adds to the Church.
Please pray for us and our fellow churches. Our prayer should be a continuous one for each other. We know that we live in perilous times, but God has caused His people and His church to prosper before in perilous times, and is able to do so now.
Written in Christian love,
Larry Hausenfluke, [Elder] Pastor
