ELDER STEVEN BLOYD TO SPEAK

AT LUBBOCK APRIL 19-21

Elder Steven Bloyd, of Maryland, will be the guest speaker at special services planned at the Lubbock Primitive Baptist Church April 19-21, 2002.

Services will begin Friday evening. Supper will be served at the church at 6 p.m. with the song service starting at 7 p.m. followed by Elder Bloyd’s service.

Saturday morning services will begin with song service at 10:30 a.m. with lunch served following. Saturday afternoon service will begin with song service at 2 p.m.

Supper will be served Saturday at 6 p.m. followed by the song service beginning at 7 p.m. And Elder Bloyd’s sermon.

Sunday morning, April 21, song service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Followed by the sermon and lunch to conclude the special weekend service.

Elder Bloyd is formerly of Lubbock, and was ordained as a deacon first and then a minister by the Lubbock church. He now serves as pastor of the Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church in Bellaire, Maryland.

Smithville, Tenn.

ANNUAL MEETING IN JUNE

Mt. View Primitive Baptist Church in Smithville, Tenn. is hosting its annual meeting the first weekend in June.

Services will begin Friday night, May 31, 2002 and continue Sat. June 1, at 10:30 a.m., with lunch followed by communion service. Supper will be served at 5:30 and preaching service starting at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting will close with the Sunday service, June 2nd starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch.

FIFTH SUNDAY MEETING IN MARCH

We, the Fairview Primitive Baptist Church, in conference, voted to host the 5th Sunday Meeting in March 2002. We are prayerful that the Lord will bless the efforts of the church by sending ordained ministers and visitors to this meeting.

We invite you to join us and worship the Lord. Services will begin on Friday evening at 7:00 PM MST, March 29, 2002, with supper being served prior to services between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Services will continue on Saturday, March 30, and conclude with Sunday morning services, March 31. We will serve meals at noon and Saturday evening and again on Sunday noon.

Should you need a place to stay during your visit, please feel free to contact any church member, or feel free to give us a call for a list of current lodging places. As usual meals will be provided at the Church house. There are large amperage electrical hook-ups available on the church property.

ANNUAL MEETING IN APRIL

We would like to invite you to join us for worship and fellowship as we host our annual meeting in April. This year our meeting will start Friday morning April 26 at 10:00 a.m. and go through April 28th.

There is room in our homes for those of you who need a place to stay. There are also a couple of local motels near for those who wish to stay in them. All meals will be served at the church house, including Friday morning Continental Breakfast.

Izora, Texas in April

ANNUAL MEETING AND

FORTH-COMING ORDINATION

We, the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church of Izora, Texas, while in conference February 10, 2002, after due prayer and consideration, have called for the ordination of Brother Jerry New to the office of Deacon. We have planned the service to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2002 during our annual meeting. The meeting will begin at 10:00 on Saturday morning and continue through noon Sunday, April 28, 2002.

It is the desire of the church for all who feel impressed by the Lord to join with us at this time to do so. Please come praying the Lord will be glorified in all we do. We especially request that the ordained members of our sister churches come to help in this work. Lord willing, Elder Mike Montgomery will be among the ministers we hope to have with us that weekend. If you cannot be with us, please pray for us.

ANNUAL MEETING IN MAY

Please announce our annual meeting, which will be held the first weekend in May, Friday, May 3th though Sunday noon, the 5th.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday evening with sandwiches for supper, and singing will start at 7:00 p.m.

We will have morning service on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will be served, followed by afternoon service.

Our church house is located 2 miles south of Farmersville on County Rd 557.

We invite all who have a desire to come and worship with us. We have RV hook-ups, as well as the homes of our members will be open to accommodate visitors.

ANNUAL MEETING IN MAY

The Borger Primitive Baptist Church will have its Annual Meeting the third week-end in May, 17th, 18th, 19th.

We will have services on Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon, [no Saturday night services], and Sunday morning with communion after lunch.

We are expecting Elder Norman Jones of Elk City, OK to be with us. We invite all to come worship with us. We pray the Lord will bless us once again with his presence and give grace to all who come to worship.

Valley Spring, Texas

TO CELEBRATE 120TH ANNIVERSARY

The Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church of Valley Spring, Texas, will celebrate its one hundred and twentieth anniversary beginning on Saturday before fourth Sunday in September 2002. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday the 21st and continue through Sunday noon, the 22nd.

The anniversary service is scheduled to be held Saturday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a short history of the church followed by singing and preaching service. Lord willing, Elder Hulan Bass, son of Elder Jesse Bass, pastor of the church over thirty years, will preach the evening service.

Meals will be served at noon both days, and on Saturday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. We invite all who have a desire to attend, to come and worship with us at this time. If you cannot attend, we ask that you pray for this meeting, and for the church in the years to come. We meet each second and fourth Sundays and invite all to come be with us in our services any time you can. We invite all "Old School" Primitive Baptist Ministers to come and be with us at this meeting.

The church building is located on County Road 407 about six miles north-west of Llano, Texas. County Road 407 turns East off of SH 71 about four miles north of SH 29, which is about two miles west of Llano. The building is about two miles off SH 71 on CR 407 on the right. There is a church sign on the highway where CR 407 turns off SH 71.

ANNUAL MEETING IN MAY 31-JUNE 2

"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men." May these words of the apostle Paul to the church at Corinth be the expression of our hearts as we assemble to worship and praise our Lord God, who "is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think..." We, the Abilene Primitive Baptist Church, would like to extend an invitation to all to come and worship with us at our Annual Meeting, convening, Lord willing, the Friday night before the first Sunday in June, beginning May 31-June 2, 2002.

ANNUAL ANNIVERSARY MEETING

The New Hope Primitive Baptist Church of Fredericksburg, Texas will be hosting its Annual Meeting again this year embracing the third weekend in June 2002.

The meeting will begin on Friday, June 14th with supper around 5:00 p.m. and singing and preaching to follow. Services will continue on Saturday morning, afternoon and night, and conclude on Sunday noon, June 16th.

We extend a cordial invitation to all who wish to come worship the Lord with us during this meeting. We have the promise of Elder Marty Smith of Georgia to attend, and we also invite other ministers who may be led of the Spirit to come and take part in the services.

5TH SUNDAY MEETING AND DEDICATION

"From all that's mortal, all that's vain, And from this earthly clod, Arise my soul, and strive to gain Sweet fellowship with God."

Our work is almost complete on a new building in Paris, TX, for Mt. Paran Primitive Baptist Church. On the 5th Sunday weekend, June 28th, 29th, and 30th, we are planning a meeting of praise and thanksgiving to dedicate this new structure to the glory of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that we might always meet in sweet fellowship with God.

We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. We are humbled by the financial gifts for the Farmersville group and others who worked many hours with us. May God bless you all.

Please plan to be with us on this weekend. We invite ministers, and our kindred in Christ. Services are scheduled for Friday night, Saturday morning, afternoon, and night, and Sunday morning.
