Our blessings above all are the hope we share in the Lord Jesus Christ to one day be caught up with Him in the clouds and fellowship with our brethren and glorify His name in all eternity. SISTER GRACE ROBERTS

The Abilene, Texas Primitive Baptist Church writes this Resolution of Respect in the passing of our beloved sister, Grace Roberts. Sister Grace had reached the age of 98 years when it was the Lord's will to call her home.

She was laid to rest in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene after services conducted in the Elliot-Hamil Chapel of Memories directed by her pastor, Elder Travis Brown.

Sister Grace was born in Star, TX and graduated from Star High school. She married Jacob E. Roberts in 1920, who preceded her in death in 1968. She moved from Midland to Abilene in 1957 and was baptized into the Abilene Church on May 17, 1964 by Elder R. A. Moore. She worked as a seamstress making clothing alterations for local department stores for 13 years and retired in 1981.

Her mind and wit were sharp until the time of her death and she drove her own car until the age of 96 when her vision and health began to fail her. The last months of her life she moved to a nursing home in Big Spring to be near her daughter, Eileen Zant, after a short stay in a nursing home in Abilene.

Sister Grace loved the Lord and her church and endured the frailties and adversities of failing health with patience and perseverance. She departed this earth on September 26, 2000 and will be sorely missed by all those who loved her.
