SISTER JOSEPHINE ELAM

Whereas, it hath pleased our Heavenly Father in His infinite wisdom and power on August 27, 2000 to call Sister Josephine Elam home to His eternal presence, let us bow to His Holy Will.

We thank God for the privilege of knowing and sharing the life of this dear sister. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church for 26 years, joining here by letter from the Amber Church, where she had been a member for many years. She will be greatly missed and we extend our sincere sympathy to her loving family.

Sister Josephine is survived by her son, Randy, of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Janet Stevenson of San Angelo, TX and Earl Morris of Ninnekah, OK. and Lloyd Morris of Oklahoma City; seen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held August 31, 2000 in the Colonial Chapel of Smith and Turner Mortuary of Yukon, Oklahoma, with her pastors Elder Bill McCarthy and Elder Randy McCarthy officiating. Congregational singing was led by Elder Randy McCarthy. Burial was in the Yukon cemetery beside her husband, Brother Carl Elam.

Therefore, be it resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be placed on our church records, a copy be sent to the family, and a copy sent to the Banner of Love for publication.

Written by order of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church while in conference on September 2, 2000.

Elder Bill McCarthy, Pastor
